Our Mission Statement:
"Helping People Become Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus Christ." (Based on Matthew 28:19-20). All that we do,
all of our programs and ministries are evaluated by this mission. We must be good stewards of all that God has
blessed us with.
Our Value Statements: Along with our mission, the leadership of our church has defined several "value statements" by which we evaluate all that we do as a ministry. These values are not our doctrine. Rather, they are statements as to the "quality" and "motivation" that must drive us as a church.
The Christian and the Church is to accurately reflect and glorify God. This includes a commitment to the character, or person of Jesus Christ being more fully formed in authentic love and holiness. Such character transformation will be evidenced in our actions, attitudes and words.
Anointed and relevant teaching of God's Word shapes lives. The cornerstone of our ministry is the truths of God powerfully and practically transforming our lives unto God's will and purposes.
We are persuaded that excellence honors God and inspires people, therefore we pursue a high degree of excellence in what we do.
We are convinced that life to life ministry that affects life change happens best in small groups, and therefore are committed to small groups. We are committed to continual support and development of our Small Groups.
We believe that prayer and being Holy Spirit filled are absolutes to fulfill the supernatural lifestyle and ministry of the Christian life and the Church's mission.
God-honoring management of the Christian's time, talents, and financial resources is normal for every believer. God is not dependent upon His people for the accomplishment of His ministry, but He has providentially chosen to involve His people in the carrying out of His will on earth. It is our responsibility to manage all that God has given us in such a way as to honor God as our Provider and Lord.
We are convinced that God desires to do His work through His people. We are committed to preparing and training people to do ministry for Him. Lay leadership is strongly believed in and developed. We put an emphasis on instructing the people concerning spiritual gifts and helping them to evaluate their giftedness, passion, talent, skills, and life history to discern how God has created and prepared them to serve Him.
We are committed to a spiritual-gift based ministry. A purposeful effort is put forth to have positions and roles filled and carried out according to spiritual giftedness, such as leaders leading, administrators administrating, etc.
A conviction that the non-Christian is loved by God and therefore our responsibility is to love them. We are to be actively involved in sharing with them by life and speech how they can receive forgiveness of sin, enter into a genuine relationship with God, and become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.
We must be relevant to our culture in communicating God's timeless truth.
A commitment to an Elder Rule church government, and a plurality of godly men as elders. God leads and directs the church in His purposes and work through godly men in leadership. These men are more than decision makers, but shepherds who see to the spiritual leadership and vision of the church.
